Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of whatisgm.com (the “Site”) and its content, operated by Good Machine · XTRI Pty Ltd (“WHATISGM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About WHATISGM

WHATISGM is a digital publication that curates, summarises, and contextualises news and topics of interest. The Site is provided for general information and reading. We may add, change, or remove features and content at any time without notice.

2. AI-generated content

The content published on WHATISGM is generated with the assistance of large language models (LLMs) and other automated systems. Articles, summaries, headlines, and related material are produced through automated drafting, classification, and editing processes. You should keep the following in mind whenever you read the Site:

  • Automated production. Our content is created primarily by automated tools rather than written from scratch by human journalists. Human oversight may be limited and is not guaranteed for every article or every statement within it.
  • Possibility of error. AI systems can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or fabricated (“hallucinated”), even when it appears confident and well-written. Content may contain factual errors, misattributions, or omissions.
  • No guarantee of accuracy. We do not warrant that any AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. You should independently verify anything you intend to rely on.
  • Generated media. Audio narration, illustrative images, and other media on the Site may also be produced by automated tools and may not perfectly reflect the underlying facts or the appearance of real people, places, or events.

3. Reliance on third-party sources

WHATISGM does not conduct original reporting. Our content relies solely on third-party sources, as referenced. Our articles are derived from publicly available news and information published by third parties — including news agencies, publishers, and syndicated feeds — which we reference, cite, or link to where applicable.

  • We are an aggregator and summariser. We collect, summarise, and contextualise information that originates with others. We are not the original source of the underlying facts.
  • Source accuracy is outside our control. The accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the underlying material depends on those third-party sources. We do not independently verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy of the source material, and errors in a source may be reflected in our content.
  • References and attribution. Where we reference or link to a source, we do so to provide attribution and context. The views and statements in the source belong to that source, not to WHATISGM. Inclusion of a reference is not an endorsement.
  • Go to the source. For authoritative, up-to-date, or decision-critical information, please consult the original third-party sources and other primary references directly.

4. No professional advice

Content on the Site is provided for general information only and is not professional advice. It is not, and must not be relied upon as, financial, investment, legal, medical, health, tax, or other professional advice. You should obtain independent professional advice before acting on anything you read here. Your use of, or reliance on, the content is entirely at your own risk.

5. Accuracy, corrections, and feedback

We aim to be useful and clearly sourced, but given the automated and third-party nature of our content, we make no representation that the Site is free of errors. If you believe content is inaccurate or should be corrected, please let us know using the contact details below and we will consider the matter. We may correct, update, or remove content at our discretion and without notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems, or related networks, or interfere with their operation or security;
  • scrape, harvest, or use automated means to extract content except as expressly permitted or through features we provide;
  • introduce malware or otherwise disrupt, overload, or impair the Site or any user’s experience; or
  • misrepresent the origin of our content, or use it in a way that is misleading or that infringes the rights of others.

7. Intellectual property

The WHATISGM name, brand, logo, design, layout, and the original elements we create are owned by or licensed to Good Machine · XTRI Pty Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may read our articles and share links to them for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, redistribute, or exploit our content in full, or for commercial purposes, without our prior written permission.

Underlying facts, quotations, and source material referenced in our content remain the property of their respective third-party owners and are used for the purposes of reporting, commentary, and attribution. Nothing on the Site transfers any rights in third-party material to you.

8. Optional features

The Site may offer optional features such as audio narration, downloadable PDFs, generated images, search, and links to external platforms. These features are provided “as is”, may rely on third-party tools, and may change or be withdrawn at any time. Generated audio and images are produced automatically and are illustrative rather than authoritative.

9. Third-party links and platforms

The Site contains links to, and may embed content from, third-party websites and platforms (for example, source publishers, video, and social media). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, policies, or practices of those third parties. Accessing them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be accurate or reliable.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WHATISGM and Good Machine · XTRI Pty Ltd, and our officers, employees, and contractors, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its content, including any reliance on AI-generated content or third-party sources. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WHATISGM and Good Machine · XTRI Pty Ltd from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or its content.

13. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the current Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia in respect of any dispute arising from or in connection with the Site or these Terms.
